Cat 30 purchase
 

I am looking at a 1989 Cat 30 with a Universal 25, supposedly rebuilt in '99 with some 300 hrs on it. It is in mint condition with most all the bells and whistles. Beautiful boat. Is there anyplace I can go to get some idea what this boat is worth. I want it, I just don't want to over pay for it.

I recently looked at a 1988 Cat 30 that was in great condition. Sold two weeks after listing for $28,000.

Check Yacht World for list prices and ask the broker for a sold boats report.

Ask your surveyer! He wil advise you at more points. Then you know if it's worth buying it.

A fellow on the Catalina 30 forum recent bought a nice, nicely equipped 1989 C-30 TRBS for $25k. The group consensus was that he got a pretty good deal.
