Newbie with some likewise questions

Hello all,

My brother and I are greatly considering a Coronado, 1973 23' sailboat we're picking up for $1500. It needs a lot of work on the topsides, mostly water damaged seats of plywood and the likes. However, I'm hard pressed to find information on the boat. Could we take her cruising along the Gulf of Mexico and up the seaboard? Or is she a lakeboat?

Definitely a coastal cruiser for protected waters. OK for harbor hopping and going up the ICW, but not outside in any weather. At that price, plan on spending some time and money to get it into usable shape.
