Horizon 26 - Potential Purchase

I am considering the purchase of a Horizon 26. I finally found the manufacturer - Horizon Yacht and Marine from Clearwater Florida. They are out of business. The vessel was manufactured in 1986, shoal keel, fractional rig. Does anyone know anything about these boats? This is the only one I have seen for sale and there is virtually no information available. Is this because they are such good boats that no one sells them or are they all at the boneyard. She looks pretty well made, but the interior is a fiberglass pan. No leaks, even in the perpetual rain we have had up here. The seller is the second owner and mentioned the first owner had her made with some custom options. Any help will be greatly appreciated. I am having a survey conducted on September 7th.

2 horizon 26

One made by Horizon first in 1975 was similar to a Columbia 26T, centerboard masthead rig. One first made in 84 by British Hunter UK company was a fractional rig made with fin, bildge or shoal keel. It won 84 best production boat of the year.

Found more info

It appears the Horizon 26, manufactured in Florida, is made from the same hull molds as the Columbia T-26. The Commodore 26 also appears to be from the same molds. I would sure like to hear what some other owners think of their Columbia T-26 or Commodore 26, as far as their sailing performance and seaworthiness. Thanks
