Slocum 43

My wife and I finally made the decision to become liveaboards. We currently own a 32'' Westerly but its just too small for both of us. We stumbled across a Slocum 43 but we don''t have much knowledge of this make. I think it was manufactured in Taiwan. Our plan is to cruise this boat in the Gulf of Mexico along the Texas-Louisiana coast. Can anyone shed some light about the Slocum 43, its construction or its sailing ability?

We have a Slocum 43 and if you are still interested I will be glad to answer any questions. We have owned her for 6 years and she is very safe and a stable passage maker along with being a very comfortable home. Reply thru this thread, or e-mail.

Considering that Slocum43wt's last post was this post in 2007, and he only had 3 posts, and his email is no longer valid, my guess is that he's long gone.

PTAPAUL was considering buying a Slocum 43, and then he disappeared. SLOCUM43WT had a Slocum 43, and then he disappeared too. Do the boats sink and take their owners with them? Or is this such a great boat that people go off cruising and stop wasting their time surfing the internet? Enquiring minds want to know...
