Compromise

I want a small sailing boat with the performance of say, an Arcona 34 combined with the saltiness of the BCC 28. I need performance but I want something with a soul. Simple request, no? Any ideas?

OK, we are getting this show on the road now.
That AE 28 is absolutely stunning!

I'll be with you guys (online) for about a week.
Perhaps we can work out a Compromise eh?

1st question (or compromise)
(Q1) Where is my freakin' 20 KG Bruce going to stow? Need a boat that can do that. (Olson 34, give me another)

90's models are getting down in the 40's and 50's, and besides... they're soooo gorgeous.
I have had only a short sail on one, but it really did handle well, and was just a joy to helm.

What the hay, it's only money!

Ya can't take it with ya....

Why not get something like a Tartan 27 instead. I think it is a much nicer and far more affordable boat than an AE28.

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

Brokerage & Used Sailboats for Sale in Seattle, WA and the northwest.

This is the first 310 in Seattle. I like this better than a T27 personally.
Same dealer has an express 37 too!

I would take a Corsair 27.

2005 Farrier F82R Corsair All Carbon Total Refit 2010 sailboat for sale in Outside United States

Many Atlantic and Pacific Crossings and I believe several circumnavigations (28ft?). I would not cross the Atlantic in one, but for Coastal cruising with offshore passages it is a great boat....And guys this one is the one that is fast, not the ones you are talking about, even if I agree the Alerion is a very beautiful boat.

Nemier, I thought you liked fast boats

Regards

Paulo
