Impulse 21

Have some friends interested in buying a 88 model Impulse spinaker, sails in great shape, trailer and 4 HP motor.....any idea of what it''s worth? NADA is 3700 to 4100.00 with out motor and trailer......any ideas?

These are hard boats to price. They were high quality boats with pretty high prices when new but were strictly racers and the race rule they were designed for no longer exists. They were raced one design but I doubt that many Impulse 21 one design fleets still exist. The few things in this world that are less obsolete than an obsolete race boat. Still these are neat little daysailors. You might be able to race them under PHRF. They do sail quite well. I would think that somewhere around $3000 to 4000 would be about right for one that is well equipped and in top notch condition with an outboard and a trailor; perhaps more in an area with a one design fleet and less in an area where it can''t be raced at all.
