Amazing boat share opportunity

170' LOA Three-Masted Square Topsail Schooner - eBay (item 300498417157 end time Dec-19-10 11:49:08 PST)

They want 2.4 m but in this economy I'll bet they would go for and even 2m

Only 42,000 for your 1/48th share.

Captains slot is filled there are foredeck crew positions still open.

Thats a rip off... you'd think they would throw in some cannons and salt pork at that price.

bljones has a spectacular aura about bljones has a spectacular aura about
$2 400 000 pricetag.
150 passenger capacity. Let's work the numbers.
Assuming no maintenance costs, crew costs, marketing overhead, moorage costs, and assuming the ship runs at 100% capacity selling tickets for a 2 hour cruise at $20/ head, four times a day, and assuming that the weather cooperates and you can run 365 days a year... why, you'll have her paid off in 6 months!

CalebD will become famous soon enough
Passenger Accommodations
Overnight - 34
Day Trip - 150
Crew Accommodations - 12

It takes 12 crew to man this ship (ain't no boat)?
Might take 150 day trippers to do the maintenance though.

I'd sign up as a cook except I don't like electric stoves. If there is a Supernumerary spot still open I'm in. I'd even double as an AB.

I just hope that Bene505 does not try to hijack this into an around the world cruise as well.
David - have you seen what has happened with your crew wanted for around the world cruise thread?
