Marine Surveyor in NY/NJ area

HI,
Does anyone know of a good, thorough marine surveyor in the New York/New Jersey area? We are in the process of making an offer on a boat, and want to find a good surveyor to survey it for us as we all know that not all surveyors are created equal.

Any leads or advice would be very helpful. Thanks!
