Thumbs up We bought an Alberg 30!

Well, we did it. We purchased the Alberg 30 we have been looking at. We had her hauled and took her out for short sail in the Neuse river. Everything on the bottom looked great, just as the seller had desribed. We then motored out of the channel and into the river, that little Atomic 4 purred like a kitten!!! After about a 30min trip into the river, we threw the sails up and sailed for a bit. It was cold, rainy and did I mention cold so after 15min under sail I was satisfied and we headed in. My wife and I were very pleased. We are now planning our trip up the ICW to Norfolk to bring her home.

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

Is this the first Alberg design that you have sailed ?
I will be interested in how you like the full keel design.
We sail a Cape Dory of similar Alberg design.
Bon voyage !!
