I would not be in such a rush Izzy. The market is flooded with boats right now, and they are not moving very quickly. Things will pick up a bit as we get further into spring; but you should not be in a rush to buy a boat because it really weakens your negotiating power. If the seller tries to put pressure on it's probably best to just walk away. The quickest way to turn a buyers market into a seller's is to rush the purchase.

Obviously good advice, KeelHaulin. Mine was aimed toward getting Slayer off his duff and marrying his girl, though. Hehe, well , you always know when you've failed miserably at being humorous when you have to 'splain the joke!

Dating more frequently might help your relationship. C'mon take her out for dinner on Friday night!

I don't know if I would buy a boat yet if your wedding date is 4 years off. A lot can happen in 4 years and if your relationship ends you will have joint ownership of the boat with your ex. I have heard of this sort of thing happening before and it ain't pretty when dreams of sailing off into the sunset with your bride are dashed on the rocky shore of a breakup. Move the wedding date up and plan to buy the boat after you are in a stable marriage. Or, buy the boat yourself so there are no hard feelings about the boat if you split up.

What smirk?? I can only give advice based on what I read. I'm not a mind reader when it comes to putting up statements that have hidden meaning or false information. I offer my advice based on what I've read; but it really does not matter if you are getting married in 5 years or 5 months, or not at all.
