Surveyor recommendation in Alameda / Oakland CA area

Could anyone recommend a surveyor in the Alameda / Oakland CA area?

Captain Rodgers in Santa Cruz has had a couple of recommendations now, but it's 80 miles from SC to Alameda and that puts me off a little. There must be one in the neighborhood of the boat (Oakland Estuary)!

What make/model boat are you having surveyed?

Are those just listings FB or are you recommending these surveyors? If you recommend them, why?

FB has local knowledge and may be a better source for recommendation, I had a survey done this summer by Lorne Gould. Seemed as complete and thorough as any I've seen.

Both the guys I recommended are well regarded and do work in Alameda. I have had Odus Hayes survey a boat for me personally and was very pleased with his work.

I've heard good things about this surveyor. In fact, on this very forum:

Fairfax is about 45 minutes away from Alameda.
