just bought us yachts 35 - like cooper 353
hi folks, I run a saiiling program on SF Bay for veterans and others in health recovery. I am selling my Tartan 27 and our Yankee 30 , and am upsizing to a 35 ft US yachts pilothouse, same hull as cooper 353 stan Huntingford's design.
I know all the ref flags we have about US yachts and Bayliner the builder, but I assume that the architect had standards of construction that must have been maintained. Also bayliner told me they built 10 of these in 1981, and sold the finished hulls and cabin-decks back to Cooper yachts who had a fire and shut down hull production and had Bayliner contract build their hulls on this and the cooper 418 i. So , any fair reviews of these boats and how to set them up for cruising? Our boat , just purchased does have low use and a new 37 hp beta marine diesel . And the price was extemely low. So after being spoiled with smaller S&S designed boats, what advice have you out there? [edit.. removed advert - F] thanks, TIm
