I am currently looking at buying either s Celestial 48 or Venus 46 to do some blue water cruising and would be very interested in any feed back people could offer on either of these boats.
Don''t know if you made a decision yet, but our Celestial has been a very good boat. It has two Atlantic passages and a long beat up from Panama. I would recommend it highly.
We live in Dana Point Ca. We have had our boat for 10 years, we are hull #18 and it''s a cutter rig built in 1985. We will be leaving for a week, so keep me posted.
We cruised on a Celestial (ketch rigged) and loved the boat. It is beautiful and strong. The layout is livable and spacious. Let me know if you have any questions. I answered several for "ikent" and there may be a record somewhere. I would be interested to know what hull number you are considering.
We just got back from White''s, sorry I will miss you at the island. Email me at fergdog@sbcglobal.net maybe we can get together.
Jim
