New boat surveyor in Annapolis

I've decided that it would be a good idea to find a surveyor to do an acceptance survey of my fresh-from-the-factory boat before I accept her. Has anyone done this and are there any recommendations for a surveyor in the Annapolis area.
I'm hoping that such a survey is going to be less effort and thus cost less than a full survey of the type one would do when purchasing a used boat.

We worked with this gentleman 2 years ago on our (old) boat for insurance purposes and found him quite reasonable. I'm thinking a survey for insurance would be closer to your purpose than a survey for purchase?

I'm not sure what the survey classification would be. There are a number of items installed post-production locally that should be checked and that the factory didn't miss doing major items - I won't be able to be present so am thinking of having a professional do this for me. Thanks!

Don't know one, but you might ask Dick Vosbury at Vosbury Marine in Annapolis. They're *very* reputable folks and they've been there a long time.

+1 on Dave Manning. IMHO, you probably want a full survey just like a used boat.

I know dealers who send a surveyor to the factory before they accept a boat. It is always money well spent.

If the boat is already at the dealer then same thing. All findings will be warranty items and you will never be in a stronger position than before you hand over the final payment

Would someone have David Manning's e-mail address handy and could PM it to me?
Many thanks!

Umm... I'm overseas so e-mail is much better than a phone.

Don't have his email. Your dealer might have it or can get it for you. An Annapolis sailboat dealer is going to know Dave.
