dumb to buy trailerable boat w/out a trailer?

Hi I'm new here and to sailing but am thinking about buying first boat. I'm looking at a 22' swing keel used boat in my local marina that comes with a cradle but no trailer. I'm thinking it might be good idea to have a trailerable boat in case I want to cut ties and cost to YC/marina in the future. For now I would want to stay at the marina for convenience (just a short walk to marina) and I don't have a vehicle now that would be able to tow it. I guess my question comes down to: how easy will it be to find a used trailer that will "fit" my boat, in future?

Boat is not a common make (DS22).

Thanks for any and all help!

P.s. I'd be daysailing mostly on Lake Ontario.

A lot of trailers can be adjusted to fit different boats. Or you can go the custom rout and have one made for $4-6k. I love my Loadmaster

No, its not dumb to buy a trailer-able sailboat. When I considered my next sailboat to purchase, being able to haul it to new waters and take it home to work on her was high on my list of requirements. I bought a Norsea 27. As far as finding a trailer, should be a piece of cake for a swing keel boat. I have a V-22 up for sale with a trailer. The boat rest on bunks which could be fitted to just about any trailer capable of holding the weight.

CalebD will become famous soon enough
While the DS 22 may not be that common there are plenty of other 22' - 24' sailboats that have trailers. You'd likely have to do some customizing of any used trailer you can find.
Sail the boat now and keep an eye out for a trailer for it.

Ok so it seems that the consensus is that getting a trailer later, if needed, should not be too difficult and lack of trailer now should not be considered a dealbreaker. Thanks for all the advice. Much appreciated!
