I was looking for a sailboat somewhere between 23-30ft to sail around the world in. Anyone have some opinions on some small but safe boats for crossing the oceans in?

It''s a bit smaller still, but the 20'' "Flicka" is a well renowned world cruiser.

Read John Guzzwell''s adventure aboard Trekka a 20 ft. ketch he built.

Also...checkout the story about a modified Triton:
www.yachtatom.com

I would also look at a 28 or 32 ft. Westsail

The Contessa has a solid reputations as well.
