yhea, alot of them, no small quantity having originaly had an atomic 4 engine that went poof. most auxilary''s do fine if you pull the engine. it''s not so far down that it seriously affects the ballast ratio.

I have a 26 foot International Folkboat in La Paz that''s engineless and looking for a new skipper. I have sailed her across the Sea of Cortez north and south, against wind and with, in no wind and in a gale. She is great. The only drawback is that you can''t stand up inside unless you''re 4 feet tall!

I had a folboat in the 1970''s was also engineless. These are really neat boats in that they sail well enough that you can really get around without an engine, albeit not as fast as some of the newer small cruisers. I had built a long sweep so that I could row her in light air. It worked fine as long as it wasn''t too hot and the distances weren''t too long.
