small racer/cruiser
Hello all,
I''m looking at getting a small racer/ cruiser to replace my current Bristol 27. I want to downsize and simplify, while getting improved performance. The boat would be used for PHRF racing, daysailing, and occasional overnights (two adults and two kids). Sailing grounds are the lower Chesapeake Bay. Boats I''m thinking of are the J24, S2 6.7/6.9, San Juan 24, and Merit 25. The S2s and Merit are pretty hard to find around here. Would appreciate any insights into these designs for my intended purpose, and thoughts on any comparable boats that might work. Thanks.
