I am interested in opinions on the quality and performance of the following boats all vinatge mid 80''s and all in the 37/39 foot range.

Ericson, Morgan, Pearson and Dickerson.

Buy a Pearson. Hard to beat the price/quality/performance ratio of a Pearson. DISCLAIMER: I own a 1989 Pearson 27 and am currently looking to buy a bigger Pearson. You should look at the P-36 from that era as well. It''s really 36.5 ft LOA and is the same hull as the P-37 (which has a bowsprit for the extra length) and the P-38 (which has a scoop stern.) But all 3 models have different interiors. The P-39 also is a great boat.

Now the Ericson, Morgan and Dickerson owners can chime in.
