Is there such a thing?

Hello,

I have been wondering if there is such a boat with the following criteria:

22-27ft LOA
Deck stepped mast
Private usable Marine head (For someone who has 27" shoulders and is NOT a Contortionist), not a port-a-potti, and separate from the primary berth
Standing room in cabin (5'6"+)
A Real double berth for a real full size couple (5"10 & (5'8")
Swing keel / Trailerable would be a plus but not necessary
Real workable wide side decks

Thanks in advance

Chris

Will probably look like this:

The name is Devekuşu Ostrich. The Turkish name is derived from camel and bird.
There is a saying in Turkish "Neither a camel nor a bird"

Since the original poster didn't specify a cost, it just might be possible. How far off the mark does the Catalina 27 (as a starting point) fall?

Not sure why a deck-stepped mast should matter one way or the other, but a Nonsuch 26 Ultra would otherwise meet your needs. Even the Nonsuch 22 would if it has the option that converts the settees into a kingsize berth. Nonsuchs are not cheap for their LOA though. The 22s are particularly in demand and expensive.

bljones has a spectacular aura about bljones has a spectacular aura about
If looking for a new boat-Seaward 25
If looking used- Just off the top of my head, Bayfield 25, Challenger 24, Grampian 26, Georgian 23 would all fit your criteria, with the exception of swing keel.

Pacific Seacraft offerings:

Dana 24:

Orion 27:

Neither is really what I would consider trailerable, but they seem to fit the criteria otherwise.

O' Day 25's are pretty roomy.... not sure if a Catalina 25 would fit but both have a swing/shoal keel and are trailerable. I think the deck step is so it can be raised and lowered without a crane, trailerable. And it is a bit of work obviously but, you can swap out a porta-potti and put in a regular head and tank.

tommays will become famous soon enough
More so than deck steped i would think you want a boat with a good on deck mast tabernacle and other gear to keep the adventure of steping calm

If a dirty bottom slows you down what do you think it does to your boat

It seems to me that boats need to be at least 26-27' before they can have standing head room. The folk-boat-like boats like the Bristol 27, Pearson Triton would be close. Not trailerable. Actually, not trailer launchable. They are trailerable (beam 8'). If you find a boat that does not have a trailer, it will be really expensive to buy one.
