Recommended Surveyor in San Carlos, Mexico?

We are looking to purchase a boat in or near San Carlos, Mexico. Has anyone had experience with any surveyors in the area - either good or bad? Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. (Unfortunately, there no volunteers for Mexico in the Sailnet 'local boat buying assistance' thread)

There is a very good, trustworthy diesel guy (Omar) there.. I've got a request in for contact info and will post it when I get it.. Hopefully he'll know of someone. Lots of boats there so one would think a surveyor could do some business but it is rather remote otherwise.

In any event it sounds like he'd be the guy for a engine survey.

We think we will have Gary do our insurance survey this spring or next fall. The other guy is Alan F. Smith/ US phone:1-520-762-7487/ Wheelermaritime dot com/ email:allansmithmarine at hotmail.com.

I have no information as to how 'good' these guys may be or may not be.. they may well be the only game(s) in town. But now you have some contacts to work with.
