OIL is good :D

I just came back from 6 months work in alberta oil patch (seismic drilling)
and i am gonna buy a boat this spring. I have 30k to spend, my plan is to try to buy a boat in 30f range and i am looking for a boat that will have good resell value. The idea is to buy a boat and keep it for 2-3 years then to sell it to buy a bigger one. Ok so 3 boats i am looking at.

mirage 29
Cs 30
kelt 31

What i am thinking is buy a boat in realy good shape rather then a bigger ship that need work. Any idea would help thanks.

I think/hope that 30K is pretty skinny for a good CS 30 or Mirage 29... don't know the Kelt 31, only remember the little 25 footer.

Looking to weekend? Daysail? Race?

That plan hasn't quite worked out for a lot of folks recently.

Re: OIL is good :D

i will use that boat to go to bras dor lake or maybe N-F so not realy looking for a racer,i did found a mirage 29 in N-S... broker told me the ship is in mint condition nothing as to be done, asking price was 37500 $ he said i could get it for 30k. I know i will lose money at the end but i dont want to wait another year to get 60 000$. Last time i did ask people here they told me with 25 k i should get a descent 30f so since i wanna pay 30k the boat should be more then average ???

Re: OIL is good :D

If you can run to 35k this is a steal and you might even make a little when you sell her.

CLICKY

CSY 37s are VERY comfortable bullet proof cruising boats but don't win many races.

PS I have no connection with the sellers but did have a CSY37 on my possibles list and a wreck I looked at was listed at much more than this one.
