I have a Gulf 29 aft cockpit sloop rigged boat, displacement of 7500 lbs, draft is 4''6" since I run aground when the depth is less than that. Fin keel, spade rudder keeps up well with performance cruisers, but isn''t one. I usually only get to sail on weekends and two to three weeks in the summer.
