I must confess I''m smitten by the traditional design of this boat. So naturally I''m curious about what others have to say about HC yachts. I''m guessing that while they''re not terribly fast, they are both seaworthy and seakindly. Any opinions or experiences?

We started out looking for the HC 33. We found that they were made by two different yards. One yard was good the other shoddy, but it''s been so long I can''t remember what was what.

We looked at one that had the teak decks screwed in from the BOTTOM. Where the teak thinned over time, you had POINTS of screws sticking up -- talk about non skid. Plus, there was no easy way to get at the underside to fix the problem.

We finally decided they were over priced and difficult to determine quality.
