Best boat for 6 foot 2 guy?

What type of Mono would give the same head room as a gimini cat for someone my size.

Re: Best boat for 6 foot 2 guy?

I don't know what a Bimini cat is but Islander Freepot 36 fits me at 6'4" (google FOGgers for Freeport owners group). So too does Beneteau's 343 and 373 if you are looking to stay close to the coast. For more luxury (and cost) it is hard to beat Island Packets. The company owner builds for his 6'5" frame.

There are a "boatload" of boats that would fit

you. 6' 2" is not unusually tall. I have a Pearson 10M , am just under 6' 6" and fit fine in mine until about mid salon, then I have to duck just a tad. Nothing terrible. Depending on how big a boat you want, you have a lot of options.

If you liked my advice/response, give me some rep points. If you didn't......well what do you expect, it was free.

If you can find one a Bombay Explorer 44 has excellent standing headroom and a HUGE shower so us big guys can shower without banging elbows or noggins.
