Selling Procedures

I''m planning to sell my boat, 91 Catalina.

What steps do I need to complete to ensure the process is handled properly/completely?

I have the bill of sale and document exchange forms downloaded from the USCG site, but want to ensure I''m not missing important details. Any help appreciated.

Selling Procedures

You should have some type of purchase agreement in place. As a seller your points of concern are: as is, were is, acceptance of sea trial, acceptance survey, acceptance of vessel, proration of any property tax. I strongly recommend you use Documentation services for the bill of sale. The buyer should pay for this service. Donít forget your dinghy sometimes has to be transferred. Now itís my turn to tell you to use a Yacht Broker this is why I get paid. I make the whole process much simpler and complete.
