Choey Lee 32 need Info.?
Google, is this a Ray Richards-designed Cheoy Lee? I thought the smaller sloop he designed for CL was 33'' - but the mind is a terrible thing to lose, as Dubya likes to say.
CL boats in general don''t seem to hold up well, in part because they would manufacture some of their own hardware (''clone'' is a word they would have liked, but ''rough impersonation'' fits better), in part because their gelcoat was poor and doesn''t hold up (altho'' a ''76 boat is going to look tired, almost without exception) and in part because they didn''t really make a boat well. Instead, they made a boat fast and priced well.
Having said all that, Ray Richards drew some nice lines IMO...so you''ll probably need to look carefully at all those big pieces (spars; rigging; hardware; power train; and, Lordy, that teak deck if there is one) and also for the hidden issues (deck leaks, steering gear, chain plates, etc.)
