Surveyor in CT?

Could anyone recommend a really honest and thorough surveyor near New London, CT. I live in SC and would like to maybe not have to be there, however would make another trip if I needed to. Thanks for suggestions.

Re: Surveyor in CT?

I've used Art Kelsey from Westbrook, CT (860-399-5515) on multiple occasions and have been very satisfied with his services. He was very thorough in his inspections, and offered guidance for correcting the problems he identified. Westbrook is about 30-40 minutes from New London, so I'm sure he'd be "in range" for you.

I have no personal connection with Art, but he's the guy who came to mind when I read your message.

Good luck,

Bill

Re: Surveyor in CT?

Hello,

I used Barnaby Blatch back in 2006. He was great. Haven't contacted him since, but he seems to be around.

I can recommend Barnaby too... He surveyed my first keel boat, and the survey was thorough and I learned a lot. .

Use Active Captain's service; Captain Rated - CaptainRated*

Pick the service that you are interested in and drill down to the location convenient for you.

Here is ONE of many reviews;

I have used Bob twice on new powerboat purchases in 2003 and 2006. He is torough in his inspection and reporting and nice guy with whom to spend a day crawling around a boat.

Re: Surveyor in CT?

Note that I am neither recommending, nor dis-recommending (is that a word?), Robert Drew. His is only an example of the kind of info that you can find in the Active Captain website.

Also, if you use Active Captain's Captain Rated website to choose a surveyor, please pay it back by leaving a review of your own.
