am I out of luck

A few years ago my boat, that was for sale, sank during Ike. Insurance treated us right and my wife promised i could have that nicer, high dollar boat I wanted if she could get nicer floors and counters in the house we were building. I woulds just have to wait 'til after our house was built. Now with kids in college i realize it aint happening that way. Now im looking at boats such as the Bristol and T37, Alberg, which i can be quite happy with except I only have 10000 to put down and I just found out all the boats I want are too old to fiance. Am I out of luck? The boats range from 25000 - 50000 in price.

Thanks
JW

JW,

Not only over a certain age but under a certain dollar amount you'll be hard pressed to find a boat loan.

Unless you buy a project boat, which may cost you three times as much in the end, it may be tricky to find the boat you want in your price range. Compromise may be called for.

Best of luck.

Donna

When I purchased my 1977 Pearson 323 I ran into the same problem. Found out no matter what the condition of the boat anything past 30 years old your out of luck. We couldn't find anyone to finance it.

Was she by any chance a bridge & monument salesperson when you married her?

I, myself, personally intend to continue being outspoken and opinionated, intolerant of all fanatics, fools and ignoramuses, deeply suspicious of all those who have "found the answer" and on my bad days, downright rude.

Re: am I out of luck

Yes, beautiful boat. I was on her a few weeks ago.

Only downsides were: no inboard engine, no head/holding tank.

Nice folks though.

Well, I do have her old holding tank with new hosing, as well as the
Natures Head still installed...

Just saying (#1 and even #2 can be committed on Heron)..
