trailering J 30 Load Permits

Anybody know how to get wide load permits if you trailer a J 30 from New York to Illinois .

I hear about companies who do a whole triptik kind of thing and tell you all the do and donts wich vary by state.

Any experience ?

Thanks Thorsten

My brother found out to his dismay that the outfit he hired to haul his J/30 from TX to WA didn''t do all their homework, and got pulled over in the middle of nowhere without the right permits. It varies from state to state, so it''s probably a good idea to contact the Motor Vehicle Department of each state you need to traverse. Most will have websites so you can print out the definitive information and "know before you go".

Check with a permit service. They will charge a service fee, but they can get all your permits for you.
