Pearson 33 K/CB input please

Looking for info on or experiences with this older William Shaw design. I shall be sailing in all directions from NC, both intracoastal and Gulf Stream crossings. I have been mostly looking at Tartan 34''s, Bristol 34 & 35, and Cheoy Lee 31-33. I know this is a mixed bag, but these are boats that attract me in my price range. Thanks.

Post your questions about this boat on the Pearson email list. There are several P-33-1 (to distinguish it from the P-33-2 produced starting in 1986) owners on that list.

we sail an "older" (''73) Bill Shaw designed Pearson 33 out of Oriental. We''ve had the boat for years and love her. the boat was built with 2 interior layouts. Ours is the competition, the other is the more comfortable cruiser. We draw under 4 ft with board up and the mast is 45 ft which means we can get under the bridge at Oriental. My family had a Vangurad when I was a teenager, I think this is a beter sailing boat, even if not as pretty.
