Bill Garden did the Truant so search on his name and you may find some stuff. It's a gorgeous, shippy boat - Gardens pilothouse designs are simply the best ever drawn IMHO.

Re: Contest 35 and Truant 37 PH

Local SNer Bilgewater owns a truant PH 33, (the Saturna 33 is another similar one: SATURNA 33 sailboat specifications and details on sailboatdata.com ) the 37 is along the same lines by the same designer. The distinctive transom treatment on the 37 sets it off. They are relatively rare, I don't thing too many were built. Another similar boat - but not PH (also by Bill Garden) is the FastPassage 39 FAST PASSAGE 39 sailboat specifications and details on sailboatdata.com I'd imagine the underbody of the Truant 37 would be very similar to what you see in that link.

Contest boats are well regarded, I know of a 35 in Blaine WA that is for sale (or was recently sold) Somewhat dark interiors, but quite roomy and a good couples boat. We've seen them in Caribbean so presumably they are ocean worthy too.

here's a list of the various Contests, designed by Dick Zaal

Garden's third book "Yacht Designs (revised & expanded)" Tiller Publishing 1998 has a section on the 370. PM me if you can't find a copy and I can give you the details included in it.
