(Great screen name by the way. I guess you can make beer out of anything? Or perhaps you need a few brews to bring out your creative juices?)
I'll buy your AC=alternating current theory. Also, when alternating current was developed the '/' (forward slash) was probably not that popular either.
Have I seen you posting over on the Moyer Marine forum too?
