Cobra 1050 vs Nor'sea 27, pls advise.
We are based in Singapore, looking to buy a used yacht this year. Planning for a round Pacific voyage next year. Hopefully with plenty of weekend sailing/preparation + a couple of longer cruises (500~900nm) will prepare us sufficiently.
The planned route:
Singapore>Hong Kong>Japan>Hawaii>Pacific Islands>New Zealand > Australia> Indonesia>Singapore.
With our current budget and the small resale market around Asia, we have shortlisted 2 possible sailboats: Nor'sea 27 and Cobra 1050.
There are plenty of information on the net on the Nor'sea 27; however am unable to find much review on the net on the Cobra 1050 (34 ft, 1982, by Cobra Yacht (UK), designed by David Feltham).
Could anyone advise their experience on the Cobra 1050 and any particular issues to lookout for? Would the Cobra 1050 be suitable for the intended voyage?
Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!:)
