Selling a boat in Australia/New Zealand??

Does anyone have any experience with selling a boat in Australia or New Zealand? We are considering sailing there from Florida and want to find out about the possibility of selling our Lord Nelson 41 when we get there. We are American citizens and have heard the taxes on selling a boat can be quite high. Thanks,
