Re: Need opinions on hull

My guess would be that it is a garboard drain plug. If I'm correct, it should have been removed before storage to ensure a water free bilge all winter.

I've only seen them with the access from the outside; but this would work, too.

Very important to replace it before launching; I'll bet very few people make that mistake twice.

Re: Need opinions on hull

You sir, just made my day. Thank You. I didnt know what i was looking at there but it looks like a replacement and it will good to go. I was worried it could be something more. I went though this boat pretty good and that was the only thing that had me nervous. Well that and the way the current owner wired in the bilge pump. Time for a proper survey.

Looks like a proper yacht from what I see. Nice eye catcher and appears well appointed.

Re: Need opinions on hull

If I were buying that I would make sure to have at least a hull survey done by some who was familiar with sheathed ply construction.

If the ply gets wet all sorts of bad stuff happens under the sheathing.

Bit of a cult boat in the UK with an active owners association see CLICKY
