Catalina 26 questions

Hello,
It's been awhile since I last visited. I've been very busy and my sailing dreams were put on the back burner for awhile. I came across this Catalina 26 that was for sale, but I'm having trouble identifying it to make sure it's a cat 26. I am landlocked, so it will have to be trailerable. This particular one's trailer was stolen and so now I am looking at costs to replace it on top of purcashing cost of the sailboat itself. Is this boat really a cat 26? I can't find any pics that are close to looking like this boat. Also, is this a good sailboat to learn to sail singlehandedly on? I'll be out with family, but only my wife will be able to crew. Thank y'all!

Re: Catalina 26 questions

Doesn't look like a Catalina to me.... maybe an older Hunter by the port arrangement? Catalina never made a 26, except for the Capri model, IIRC....

Thank you Faster! The port arrangement is what threw me off too. I might head out this weekend to look it over. Where would the manufacture plate be at?

Re: Catalina 26 questions

if it was built after 1972, there will be a hull identification number (HIN) on the stern, upper starboard side.
