I am only aware of the 26 and 26 encounter, never heard of a 26 MkIII. Are you talking about the 27 (of which there were 5)?

sailingfool will become famous soon enough
A very tender boat, the C&C 25 Mark I and the 27 Mark I are much better boats...

C&C made 3 26,s. The 26, 26 Encounter, and the 26 wave. The Wave is an 80's design, the other boats were late 70s. I've never actually seen one. My rig book shows a draft of 2.9' on the Wave! Yikes! The boat has a much longer waterline (23') and lighter weight (4700#). The SA/D is 19.5 vs 17.5 and 15.3 for the other 26s. D/L is 172 vs 269 and 320 for the other 26s. Strictly based on the numbers the 26 Wave (MK III?) should be extremely tender.
