C&C 99 vs C&C 110

Hello,
I was wondering what your thoughts were on these two boats. I do like the asymetric option on the 110 but was wondering which boat would be the more "forgiving" racer. It has been my impression that both are fun, fast boats but that the 110 may be a little more "tender" in a stiffer breeze. Specifically, I'm looking at an older model vinalester 110 with the 6 ft keel and aluminum rig, vs. an epoxy hull, carbon rig 99. I'm not looking for a serious racer but for a family friendly go fast club racer and occasional cruiser.

I think either boat would fit your needs. I seriously considered the 99 when looking for a 32-34 racer-cruiser, but found the interior a bit tight. Ended up buying a Cal 33-2. Not nearly as fast, but a much nicer interior.

There has been a lot of bad press about C&C/Tartan in general and problems with a few of the epoxy hulls in particular. May not be an issue for an older polyester 110. but something you should check out.
