Hughes Northstar 26

Anyone have anything to share regarding the Hughes Northstar 26? There's precious little to be found about these boats. Would love to find out what their sailing performance is like as well as their seagoing going capabilities. What kind of weather are they good in and what are their weak points.

I already own a Hughes. Sailed it this past summer. I'm a new owner of this boat and enjoy it very much. I've visited the site in your last posting. Was curious if other owners or previous owners had any experiences with the Hughes. Trips taken or any restoration or maintenance stories they'd like to share.

Yes, I have owned the Hughes 26 for one year now and have sailed her in Newfoundland waters this past summer. My reason for the initial post was to gather some information from others familiar with the boat. From my searches there are no owner groups, etc. The boat will be sailed in some pretty challenging conditions at times. Newfoundland's coastline is quite rugged and we often see many foggy and windy days. The seas can kick up quite a fuss at times often being steep and confused. I'm used to smaller boats and this is my first sailboat. Knowing how others view the Hughes 26 could both be insightful and interesting.
