While guilty of following your advice (multiple times  ) it can be a very expensive mistake to "let your heart do the talking". Get someone that has NO emotional interest in the boat (generally you want to hire the surveyor that the broker doesn't want you to, they are usually the picky ones) to survey the heck out of it and if that doesn't turn up any serious issues, then let your heart go crazy.
Both boats are beautiful, no personal knowledge of either, although Shannon has been around for a long time with a reputation for quality.
