Looking for info on Independent 20 Sailboat

Hi all,

Recently came across an Idependent 20 sailboat, well equipped with 3 sails, trailer and 9.9hp motor.

There isnt much info on the web and was wondering about: construction, performance, and overnight accomodations.

Any information would be awesome!

It sounds like they can be a bit 'tender' when the wind pipes up: Voile Abordable :: English Forum :: Independent 20 (Opinion about this sail boat?)
but they are fast and point well. Make sure it has reef points for the main sail and a few different size jibs, if not roller furling.

Suffice it to say that you will not likely have 'standing head room' in a 20' boat's cabin.

I have no idea about their build quality (construction) but there seem to be a number of them about - which is a good sign, I think.

I did a google search on 'Independent 20 sailboat' and a number of hits came up.

I've heard they are decent boats. I remember coming across one down in Mexico. I forget the names but they were on like a 25 footer or so. Said they loved it. Let us know if you get it. Cheers

No idea what its like below, but I'm sure you could make it work for a weekend trip. The bigger one was quite nice.
