24' Mirage
Can anyone tell me what type of headroom, or height, is in the salon of the 24' Mirage? Can a person of short to average height stand upright? I found one that we may be interested in purchasing, but haven't seen it as of yet.

Re: 24' Mirage
You'd likely have to be VERY short... like 5' short (or less)...
Mirage made 2 boats in the 24 foot range.. including the 236 and the 24... The 236 is more of the racing type, and the 24 tends towards more of a cruiser. You can get an idea which one it is by comparing how it looks to these: Mirage Sailboat Photo Gallery That's all I got for you until someone who owns one can chime in. |
Re: 24' Mirage
I wouldn't count on more than 5 feet of headroom under the closed hatch. Probably less. Definitely a sit-down situation below.

Re: 24' Mirage
Hi. I just bought a Mirage 24 and I have not measured the headroom but I would guess 4' 6" to 4, 8" would be close.

Re: 24' Mirage
The Mirage 24 was built by Mirage Yachts in Canada and the Mirage 236 was built by Mirage manufacturing Gainesville, FL two different companies. The 236 has a very low carriage top. I guess 4' 6" or less. Most boats under 27' will not have 6' head room.
