Bristol 32; Bimini?

Have any 32 owners out there attempted to put a bimini on a 32? I have a wheel helm, and the pedestal sits aft of the traveler. The forward edge of the bimini would need to clear the topping lift/trailing edge of the traveler, and going aft from there, would not only be a short bimini, but the boat also narrows from 6', to 3' at the transom. Do you get a square top and risk hitting it coming into slips at the transom, taper it, making it darn useless, or just forget about it entirely? Hate to drop a grand on a tiny obscure piece of canvas.

I successfully added a bimini to my Bristol 32 while cruising in the Caribbean. It has dropdown curtains on the sides that really give all the shade you could want. I recently returned to the states for some real world experience and listed the boat for sale, but the shade was essential in the tropics. You can check out the photos at:

Just catching this thread. I have a nice picture of my B-32 w/ bimini, but am unsure how to attach it.
