More important than the boat brand is the rig maker and the mast and boom section size and shape... pictures will help a lot.

I have been thinking about replacing my gooseneck too. However, I am looking to get a fixed gooseneck. I worry that after I add a boom vang, the lateral forces on a sliding gooseneck will not be healthy.

The best place to get a gooseneck is actually with the original supplier of the mast and boom. Typically there is a sticker or engraving somewhere near the base of the mast, or at the deck that will have the mast maker and hopefully the extrusion profile. A quick call to the supplier is usually all it takes to get a replacement. For smaller extrusions these can run as little as $100, as they get bigger obviously the price goes up.

If you can't get an OEM part, they are not that difficult for a competent welding shop to fabricat. Figure 3-4 times the price of an OEM one going this route.

thank you Greg, i will check for the said label or engraving !
Barquito, would that be a gooseneck mounted on the mast ? please let me know if and or where you find one !

I couldn't find anything that identified my boom. I will probably just go with what I have now. My other thought was that it might be possible to find a whole boom from a boat someone is parting out. You would need to get the fitting off the mast too. Wouldn't need to be from a B27, just at least as long.

You will find a replacement gooseneck at rigrite.com they carry most of the fittings on first gen Bristol spars.

Good luck,

David
