padean is on a distinguished road
The easiest way may be to get a Customs Broker (many available at nearly every entry port). It cost me about $150 for the Broker who new what forms, taxes, and hoops to jump through with customs. It will also cost an import fee (0.28% of the value of the boat, at last check), plus whatever duties (1.5% of the boat value for a Canadian made boat) are due for the boat. It would be very difficult to figure out without a broker to help you through customs, whether coming by water of shipping by land. Good luck.
