Leisure Furl

I am interested in an apparently otherwise satisfactory boat that has a Leisure Furl mainsail. I would prefer what is sometimes called a "classical" mast. I''ve thought that perhaps in the evaluation, I could include the cost of replacing the sail and the boom. However, Leisure Furl also requires a rather large hole to be drilled in the mast. Briefly, should I also include the cost of mast, which I think would be prohibative.

Altenatively, does anyone have experience with Liesure Furl, and think I might come to learn to love or least accept a Leisure Furl. I get the impression that furling and unfurling a Leisure Furl sail might best be handled with a powered winch, and that alone would be a show stopper for me.

BTW, I''ve read the Practical Sailor articles.
