Islander 27

I am in the stages of buying a Islander 27. I have heard that it is a stable and solid sailing boat, then I hear that it is vey tender and will heal over in a moments notice, any comments?

I love the open transom and the very roomy cabin.

Those two attributes are often complementary. I don''t know the Islander 27, but if she''s narrow beamed, she will probably be a bit tender. But (and here''s the good news ...) she will therefore probably right herself much easier and have a deeper angle of vanishing stability (meaning she can go over further before giving it up completely) than a wider beamed competitor.
