How to sell Crusing Boat located in North Carolina

I have a 1988 Cal 33 ( Fresh Water Boat )that I bought in Michigan in 2003 and currently located in New Bern, North Carolina
How is the best way to sell it by yourself?
I''m asking $48,500 and it is great shape. All the ammenities and is easy to cruise on.

Start buy placing an add on Boats.com. It is the most frequently visited site next to Yachtworld(which is restricted to brokers only). Your selling a Cal, which is fairly popular, so if the price is fair you should get some hits. Don''t get discouraged as it often takes a while to sell a boat of that size. Remember a broker takes 10%, and that buys a lot of advertizing. Brokers are helpful though, if they have a client who is interested in another area and they direct them to your boat for a chance at the 5% co-brokerage. The next month can be a good time to try and sell, but most buyers are looking for a late season bargain. Don''t discount Fla. market or southern west coast where they sail year round. Good Luck.
