Newporter 40...Jeff?

Lately I''ve been considering the Newporter 40. The reviews in Boat Check don''t say much, except that they are more or less wooden, though on Yachtworld they are listed as fiberglass or "other material". I know they are older boats, I suppose before GRP predominated. Does anyone know how they were constructed?

And also, how are the N40''s sea motion and general seaworthiness for open water?

Thanks in advance,
Chas.
